“The Swinging Skirts Golf Team is a private, Taiwanese non-profit organization made up of both men and women amateur golfers with a shared goal of growing the game of golf across the globe via sponsoring top women’s golf tournaments and top female players!
The Swinging Skirts members are avid golfers who wear colorful kilts when playing the game to pay homage to one of golf’s oldest traditions, which was born hundreds of years ago at The Home of Golf: St. Andrews in Scotland.
The vision for the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic aims to be a true celebration of Golf, Arts and Culture. It will be a world-class golf tournament featuring the top players from the LPGA, but will also showcase some of the top international talent from Taiwan. At Lake Merced, the Swinging Skirts will also display their love for art, with plenty of colorful sculptures and cultural designs that will be placed throughout the course for the public to see. The Swinging Skirts team is embracing bringing the LPGA back to the Bay Area, so in addition to the art pieces on-site, you can expect plenty of San Francisco’s finest local fare, including the area’s best food trucks, area businesses and vendor displays.
In a city with one of the most famous bridges in the world, the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic hopes to be a true bridge between East and West!” - http://www.swingingskirtslpgaclassic.com/about
We had the awesome opportunity of performing for the closing ceremony of the Swinging Skirts Tournament at the Lake Merced Golf Course. The 18th green was our stage and it was a tight fit for our 2 lions and dragon! Thanks for choosing us to celebrate with you! Congrats to Lydia Ko for her first LPGA title!
And we got a great team shot with these two cool characters
Here’s a little video of the performance:
